The innovative platform helps clients tap into what their customers are saying on leading review sites and via email surveys, respond to and approve customer reviews, and see their good reputation shared on social networks, on search engines and beyond.

Service Metrics Group is aware of the vulnerability named “Heartbleed”. Security of data is of the highest importance here at Service Metrics Group, and we take threats such as Heartbleed very seriously. We want to assure you that Service Metrics Group services are not vulnerable to the Heartbleed bug. Your data with us is safe. The Heartbleed vulnerability is a security concern for any software that uses certain versions of the OpenSSL software library. Specifically versions 1.0.1 through 1.0.1f are affected. The vulnerability allows attackers to read the memory of the computer system, which may allow attackers to access secret keys and decrypt or steal sensitive data that reside in the memory of that computer. This is not a flaw with SSL, the standard encryption method used by virtually every secure website in the world. Instead this vulnerability only exists for those servers that use the affected versions of the OpenSSL software library, which does not include Service Metrics Group systems. As an additional precaution, Service Metrics Group immediately followed best practices by rigorously testing each of our systems against Heartbleed and confirming that we were not vulnerable. We also opened support tickets with our vendors for independent verifications, which confirm our results. Even though your data on the Service Metrics Group system is safe, it is possible that your company’s own Information Technology (IT) environment is vulnerable to Heartbleed. To address this possibility we recommend consulting with your IT staff and reviewing the Heartbleed website. As always, if you have any additional questions, please contact Service Metrics Group by phone at +1 972 638 7429 or email at [email protected]. |
